~(이)란 is short for ~(이)라는 것은? I want to know if ~이란 is short for ~이라는 것은? for example do these phrases have the same meaning? 사랑이란 좋은 느낌이 있는 것이다 사랑이라는 것은 좋은 느낌이 있는 것이다 Thanks in advance~ 고맙습니다

Yes, they are the same thing except very slight nuance difference. The "이라는 것은" is saying just about he same thing with more words.
