"There are those" When is it a word to use? テキストの文章の一部分です。↓ A part of the sentence appearing in a text ↓ "There are those, however, who are concerned that this social change could have other repercussions such as a lower birth rate, on neglect of children." 日本語訳は、「しかしながら、このような社会変化が少子化や育児放棄などの悪影響をもたらすのでは、という懸念を抱く人々もいる」となっています。 Why is there "There are those" in front of "however?"

It means, "There are, on the other hand, people who (hold a different view)…" There are those people who hold that opinion. The implication is that "There are, on the one hand, these people who (hold this opinion)…" There is a typo in your quote. It should be "…or neglect of children".

There (not here) are those (so far), Here (not there) are these (so close).
