Irish: Linguistic/Grammar Term for Various Types or Verbal Noun Phrases Is there an actual grammar/linguistic term for different types of the verbal noun phrases? For instance, "dul abhaile" (go home) in "Tá orm dul abhaile" (I have to go home.) versus "leabhar a cheannach" (to buy a book) in "Tá orm leabhar a cheannach" (I have to buy a book). The latter involving a direct object and lenition of the verbal noun and the former just being a "strict/simple" verbal noun phrase... Hmmm....
