potential employers = potential boss potential employees = potential workers Potential means a good chance it will likely happen ( for the above sentences )

An employer is a person or company that pays workers to work for them. An employee is someone who is paid to work for a person or a company. So, let's say I work for Apple. I am an employee. But I am paid by Apple (employer).
