Grammar books Hi, I don't know anything about Russian and I think to use these books to learn Russian, respectively. What do you think? I'm going to learn it especially for reading books and articles. A Short Russian Reference Grammar by I. M. Pulkina Russian A Practical Grammar With Exercises by I. M. Pulkina

1. Learn Russian ABC; 2. Try to read some texts with dictionary; 3. Try to listen some audio with a prompt; 4. Grammar is the hardest part of Russian. It is not as clearly structured as English, for example. Try to understand its essence during the learning language and not make it the basis of your study for the first time. I wish you be strong and patient in your studies.

I'm thinking about my experience in reading books and articles in foreign language. Before I could do this I had to learn the grammar since Alphabet till more complex things. It took few years. Now I use only a dictionary. I consider learning grammar is the hardest task in your case, and an expectation of reading in the closest time is weak. Therefore I wish you to go step by step and don't give up. Good luck!
