Hey Alex, there's a lot of great books in Spanish (from Spanish and South American autors) but If you want to start you should read easy books. In Spain books from the editorial "El Barco de Vapor" are very used for children in the schoos. I know that you're not a child but those books are good to learn very basic words and concepts from the Spanish, you are gonna learn like a Spanish child learn Spanish when he's 7 years old (I'm not trying to be rude seriusly) Hope it works for you!
