In Hungarian, there are some differences between formal and informal conversations. When you're talking to a friend of yours, you can simply use "te" to refer them, but in a convo with your boss/an elderly person/random person on the street who's older than you/etc, you have to use "ön" instead. If someone offers you "tegeződjünk", that means that you can set aside formalities and use "te".
examples:
informal: Te ismered ezt a könyvet? formal: Ön ismeri ezt a könyvet?
i: Van kedved hozzá? f: Van kedve hozzá?
i: Meg tudnád mondani? f: Meg tudná mondani?
