Textbook to study german for beginners
I am looking for a good text book to study german by myself.. I have browsed Schritte, Optimal and Studio D... but they dont convince me.. Any suggestions?Thank you.

You are right. They also don't convince so much. My favourite one (as a teacher) is 'Begegnungen', but anyhow it is to say that none of them is really suitable for self-study.
