How to say "orientador" in British English? How to say "orientador (de una escuela)" in British English? Orientador is a person who supports underachieving students, advise families and students about any topic relating to the school. Can you say counsellor? or is it used only in America? Thank you very much.

Often, in American, and I imagine in the UK as well, a counselor who's job is to help underacheiving students is called an "academic adviser" or a "guidance counselor."
