The usage of 'whose' with 'one' and 'ones' While I learn the word 'whose', the expression in usage is difficult. Can you check whether my setences are right or not. Whose car is this? Whose one is this? Whose is this car? Whose pens are these? Whose are these pens? Whose ones are these? Can you explain which sentence is correct or wrong? If you can you furter explain about whose with 'one' and 'ones' can you give me further explains with sample sentences.

The sentences with 'one' and 'ones' sound awkward. We don't usually use 'one' or 'ones' with 'Whose'. It would be more normal to say 'Whose is this?' 'Whose are these?' The other questions are fine.
