please translate.... is it supposed to be cold in Monteverde? "Supposed to be" always confuses me!!! Does it need a "que" (Se supone QUE ser...) and if so why?And... "Were we supposed to have a session today?"

Hello Stefan! "supposed to" can be translated as "se supone que" (yes, when you say "se suponse" you always have to add QUE). But it can also be translated as "debería..." or "en teoría..." therefore, "is it supposed to be cold in Monteverde?" can be translated as: - se supone que hace frío en Monteverde? or - en teoría, debería hacer frío en Monteverde? Also, "were we supposed to have a session today?" can be translated as: - "se suponía que hoy teníamos una sesión" or "en teoría, hoy teníamos una sesión". Hope it helps. If you have any question please ask me :)
