Croatian: More Sentence Involving "I don't know" and Reported Speech Are these correct? / Is the word order correct? 1. On je rekao da si joj dao šešir. = He said that you gave her the hat. 2a. Ne znam je li rekao da si joj dao šešir. = I don't know whether / if he said that you gave her the hat. 2b. Ne znam je li čovjek rekao da si joj dao šešir. = I don't know whether / if the man said that you gave her the hat. 3a. Ne znam kada joj je dao šešir. = I don't know when he gave her the hat. 3b. Ne znam kada čovjek joj je dao šešir. = I don't know when the man gave her the hat.

Ne znam je li čovjek rekao da si joj dao šešir. = I don't know whether / if the man said that you gave her the hat. Yes, it is. You can also say: Ne znam DA LI JE čovjek rekao da si joj dao šešir. 3a. Ne znam kada joj je dao šešir. = I don't know when he gave her the hat. Yes, it is correct. 3b.
