Can you interpret this sentence? I should let my eyes rest too‚ on the face of a baby‚ so that I could catch a vision of the eager‚ innocent beauty which precedes the individual consciousnesses of the conflicts which life develops. Could you please tell me the meaning of the sentence from this part till the end 'Innocent beauty....which life develops' What does 'precedes and individual consciousness of the ..' mean .Would you make it clear for me? Thanks

I think it means the person will capture the baby's innocence before they become "conscious" of problems that develop as the grow older that happens to every individual. Where's this from anyways?

The author is basically saying that by staring/looking at a baby's face for a long time, he/she begins to "get back" to appreciating the simplicity or purity of things that we tend to forget or lose sight of when things get complicated in our lives. These simple/pure things come before (precede) the conflicts and always exist, but are often overshadowed by them.
