A question about "cupboard"
Hey guys, I faced a question yesterday when I was doing my assighments .

The original sentence is :" I'll tell you where you can get the pillow. If you look in to the cupboard, the large white one upstairs - to the left of the bathroom door -there should be four five."

And question on book is " the location of the pillows''. The answer given is " in cupboard on landing"

I'm wondering about what does "on landing" mean. Because it's said that "cupboard is the larger on upstairs", why the answer given says that it's on land?

A 'landing' is the flat the area usually found at the top or bottom of a flight of stairs.  When stairs turn a corner, the small flat area where one flight ends and the next begins is also a 'landing'  From the extract you supply I would not have been able to answer the question in the way your book expects!  Is there no additional text to supply this information?
