TOEFL Speaking 1 and 2: are the questions presented in both written and spoken form? My language companion is preparing for the TOEFL, which I, as a native speaker, have never taken. TOEFL speaking questions 1 and 2 present a short question, which the candidate is supposed to answer by speaking. The ETS video at https://www.ets.org/s/toefl/flash/18690_insideTOEFL-Speaking-Q1-2.html at 1:22 gives me the impression that the candidate sees the question in writing, and at the same time hears a recording of a voice speaking the same words. Is this correct? Is the question presented both in written and spoken form?
