Dr Martin Luther King Jr a very important man to black and world history. His words are very influential to the the world, not just the effect it had on racial equality in America.
I would choose someone from ancient history, whose teaching I admire very much : 孔子 (Confucius)。The impact he had on the development of China is far greater than that of its modern leaders, his teaching are still applied to modern times.
I know these two people may not be part of our century but i would have to say that i would choose both Andres Bonifacio and Jose Rizal equally since they show and represent the capabiliies of filipinos weather they may be not fully educated well(A.B) or educated really well(J.R) since they attempted to show the strong sides of the filipino either through harsh rebellion(A.B) or peaceful resolutions(J.R) towards the spanish.^^
I admire quite a few personalities from the last hundred years.
If i had to chose one i would chose Nikola Tesla (Никола Тесла); a top inventor, engineer and pacifist, in contrast to many other serious scientists of the last century.
Among his numerous inventions the Alternative Current rotary generator has transformed the dark side of our planet into a brighter one; and so few people know anything about him!

Even if I am in China， I still admire Bill Gates who have made a great success known by all over the world. In China， the political elites may be Chairman Mao，Deng Xiaoping . The former led the country to turn up a new page， he helped the country go out of the seperation， although he
made some mistakes too. Deng Xiaoping wins a lot of reputation due to the open policy， which has
prompted the competition of the country. It is of great help to avoid the Soviet Disintegration problem. What‘s more，chinese intellects are liberated after 10 years upheaval.
