Which Russian cities would you recommend to visit...especially for people not fluent in Russian?

Moscow and St. Petersburg are the most famous and interesting cities in Russia. There are many historical and beautiful places. There are many guides, that you can buy. If you are get lost, you can ask for advice, many speak english. Don't worry=)

Москва, Петербург, Казань. Это три официальные столицы России. Особенно самобытна Казань, поскольку здесь идет смешение двух культур и народов - русского и татарского.
St Pete. It's not as crowdy as Moscow and it feels different there. It's more european. The number of museums is not less then in Moscow, so if you like sightseeing you'll definately find a lot to see. And nightlife is intersting too! All you need is a good guide! BTW, weed is cheaper there! ;)
yes I would say also St petersburg... It is a very old city with a lot of really nice architecture...
does it matter if you are fluent or not! you are going to Russia and in everywhere, i think, they speak Russian:D

St. Petersburg isn't very old))) it was founded by "Пётор I" in 1703. But the first record of Moscow was in 1147. This two cities are very different, but both must be visited by you!

Приезжай в Екатеринбург. Он третий после Москвы и Петербурга. Ещё можно на Байкал--это озеро такое в Сибири, очень знаменитое. Ещё на Черноморское побережье Кавказа, в Сочи. И неправда, что у нас кроме Москвы и Петербурга нечего смотреть.
