First conditional - Find the mistake
I got an exercise about first conditional that requires to find the mistake in this sentence:
I won't go to the football match if he can't playing.
For me the mistake is "playing" that should be changed in "play".
I won't go to the football match if he can't play.
My book says: I won't go to the football match if he isn't playing.
I would know why my answer is wrong.
Thank you.

Both versions are correct, but have slightly different meanings.
1.'I won't go to the football match if he can't play.'
This implies that if he is not allowed/able to play, then you won't go.
2.'I won't go to the football match if he isn't playing'
This implies that your decision to go to the match depends on whether or not he is playing. Hope this helps.
