The best way is to talk about your hobbies, for example sports or music, animals, books and so on. Also I think it's quite nice to talk about your home country, could be very interesting. :D
don't think about foreinger. just try to think that person's possitive thing and talk natually, i like say hello..how are you...nice wether ..make them feel comfortable and ask about culture and something nice think..like how you do when you make friend!!! cheeeeeeeeeeer lol
