Don't pronounce the "e." Many verbs, when put in past tense with "-ed" at the end, do not require you to pronounce the "e."

We normally don't pronounce the "e" in cases like this. The only time you would pronounce it is if the consonant before the "ed" was "d" or "t". Eg. "hated", "sounded" both have the "-ed" syllable sounded fully.
