I'd advice to watch some old police action movies like Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry", old movies about James Bond and so on.
I remember, I could watch them without any subtitles at the time, when i couldn't understand a single word from some Coen brothers' movies like "Or Brother Where Art Thou" :)
