the correct english is "a faithful replica of something that never existed"

faithful here means 'faithful to the original', -- i.e. "accurate".

    maybe something like 一個從來不存在東西的真實複製...

    can you correct my chinese?

maybe it is 它是一个从没有存在过的复制品。but if there is a context, you will get a more accurate meaning

    应该是俏皮话吧:
A: It must be a replica.
B: Yes, it is a faithful replica of nothing that ever existed.

It means the entire thing is a scam. Someone fooled people into believing that something existed, then he fooled them into believing he has a faithful replica. He's probably referring to the DaVinci Code.

    Examples:
    The Da Vinci Code.
    The Book of Mormon.
