Some schools in Australia have gifted students enrolling in their first year of high school and following an accelerated learning course, so they can graduate earlier. Some primary schools also have a gifted children's class. I have worked in 2 high schools where this was the case, the students benefited, but other kids teased them in the yard at lunch time.Teachers liked these classes as students were keen to learn, but they were just as naughty as other students.
