colloquially I'd use "Aber, trotzdem!" for "but still!"
I wouldn't use "nichtsdestoweniger" as a word standing alone.. it's also not really used all that much in spoken German.

    hält! mit imperativ

You can use "Still!" also in german.

A: I didn't kill him, i just mugged him. - Ich habe ihn nicht getötet - ich habe ihn nur beraubt.
B: Well, still! That's bad enough as it is! - Still/Sei still - Es ist so schon schlimm genug.

    Gebräuchlich ist noch:
    Schweig still - klingt altmodisch
    Schweig(e)! / Schweigen Sie!
Halt den Mund! / Halten Sie den Mund! - Umgangssprache
    Halt die Klappe - Umgangssprache

I guess you can use " dennoch". The word "nichtsdestoweniger" (= nevertheless) can also be used in the situation you described.
