I'm trying to understand the difference between "ved" and "Kende".

I'm pretty sure it's like this:
"(at) kende" is if you know a person. Example: Jeg kender din søster (I know your sister).
"(at) vide" is about knowledge. Example: Jeg ved, at Canada er et land (I know Canada is a country.
I'm 99% sure the rules are like that. I hope you get the point of it.
