What books/language courses would you recommend to use when starting to learn German or Italian?
I am interested in a simple, but interesting learning resource ...
I don't like that type of books with 30 lessons on how to speak in a restaurant, at the bank etc. If i meet a native, i cannot keep a simple conversation even after studying 1-2 books of this type, unles it is that type of dialog. Any suggestion?
