What's a language exchange

A language exchange is a great way to learn a language for free!

All you need is a way to communicate (such as the internet) and a language exchange partner.

In a language exchange, two people take turns speaking the other person's native language. This way, both partners get a chance to practice speaking the language they want to learn.

We've broken it down to a three-step process:

1. Search
2. Contact
3. Meet / Talk
Here's how to do it on italki.com (For example):
I am speak: English
I am want to learn: Chinese(Mandarin)

Search

You do a search on italki.com homepage

You do a search on Find a language partner

Pick someone you think seems interesting.

Contact

Send a mail to he/she asking if he/she would like to do a language exchange with you.

In your message, try to tell a little bit about yourself.
The more personal your message, the more likely the person will respond!
