I am a native English speaker from the UK. I very much enjoy helping foreigners to speak and communicate more clearly in English with the help of accent coaching and offering interesting resources to keep students motivated.

I have taught English since being in France and so I am probably best equipped to deal with the difficulties that French speakers face when learning English. Don't let this dissuade you from taking lessons though if French is not your native language.

I will use a number of short exercises if you are finding grammar difficult. If reaching a high level is your goal then I will find materials intended for native speakers in subject areas which you personally find interesting. We will also discuss these topics and depending on your confidence I will encourage you to contribute to the conversation as much or as little as you wish. My own experience of language learning had taught me that a lack of pressure and lots of listening practice are useful tools.

I feel that my job as a tutor is to encourage students and give them the knowledge they need to be able to enjoy exploring the language outside of the sessions.
