My name is Robert Bassford and I am a native English speaker. I was educated at Cambridge University and I have a Master's Degree in Modern and Medieval Languages.

I have been working as a teacher of English here in Greece for almost thirty years. I have taught children and adults for exams such as FCE, TOEFL, CPE, ECCE, ECPE and IELTS. I teach all aspects of the language, but am mostly interested in oral English, although grammar comes a close second.

In addition to offering help with spoken English, I would be delighted to teach Modern Greek to absolute beginners, using a course which I have devised.

I speak Greek fluently and can speak Swedish, French and German to varying degrees of fluency. I am a conscientious and reliable teacher and would be available to help online and with extra homework. i am available throughout the week and at the weekend and since I am a bit of an insomniac, I am available until late, late Greek time!
