I graduated in 19992 from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Political Science. I then went on to obtain my teaching credential and Bilingual Certificate of Competence from California State University, Fresno. In 1993 I began teaching as a bilingual elementary school teacher for the Fresno Unified School District. I taught English as a second language learners for five years before having my own children.
Since having my children, I have worked from home doing a variety of jobs, including medical transcription, website design and management, marketing, teaching English online and running an organic cafe.
I currently teach English online and have students from around the world. I help English learners reach their fluency goals, no matter what their motivations are, including test preparation or fluency for study in the US, business and career advancement, personal interest or travel.
I will tailor my lessons to meet your goals. I am able to help you in all areas of English: speaking, reading, writing, and pronunciation. I can also help you improve your English in specific areas, including medicine/natural health, technology, education/academic English, and business.
As a business owner, I am also able to help you to prepare for job interviews with English-speaking companies.
