I've taught my children at home for 15 1/2 years. I've taught all four of them to read. Even though the three eldest have dyslexia, they are reading well. My eldest just finished High School and recently scored 12th grade level on her reading comprehension test at the college and is now eligible for college course work. We have worked together for her success and I think that I could help others as well.
I can offer help with phonetics also.

I''ve ePublished several books in a phonics series for beginning English reading.
Since my children have learning disabilities and I've sub-taught in a special classroom, I'm experienced at helping people that may learn a new language slowly. The non-verbal boy I sub-taught helped me to realize that a foreign language is any language we don't currently know, but it's not foreign. I also learned a lot about listening to letter sounds during their speech therapy. I was told by the clinic director that I have great skills and that I should persue a degree.
I live in central USA but have been told that I sound like I am from California. I have also been asked if I work in radio, so I think my voice may be a good candidate for those who wish to listen to English for learning purposes. I always try to use proper English instead of slang.
