I am an ESL teacher with 4 years experience, a degree in Linguistics and certification through TESL Canada. I have taught varied ages and levels. I believe in teaching holistically with language and culture combined.

I have long been involved in teaching; starting by tutoring in high school, doing so informally while volunteering abroad, and through helping the many international friends that I have had since high school. I have been teaching formally since I graduated from university in 2007, in both Canada and South Korea, and have completed training in life coaching as well. I have taught individuals from Europe, South America, and Asia at all levels. I am well aware of the different challenges that students from each area and country may have; whether cultural ideas, educational culture, or pronunciation difficulties. My favorite part about teaching is the interaction with such diverse people. I personally love to learn and to share. I have studied 5 languages myself, some in formal settings and some informally and I understand the many challenges faced.
I am available for language lessons on specific skill areas or an all skills approach. I can help with both speaking and clear pronunciation, having been trained in how and where the sounds of English are produced. If you are looking to improve your overall effectiveness in communication, debating, or presenting, I can be of assistance in these areas as well. Finally, I can help to overcome your nervousness about interacting with native speakers and will gently but steadily challenge you to grow, both in your language ability and your confidence level.
