Welcome to my profile! I have a passion for the English language and for helping people achieve their learning goals.
I believe English is a skill for life, valuable for personal and professional development. With this in mind, I realize the importance of accurate and effective language instruction and take my role as an English language educator very seriously.
This being said, I also recognize from experience and from research that to acquire a language, students must feel relaxed and prepared for each lesson, having built a positive relationship with their instructor. This is why I ensure my lessons involve interest based interpersonal conversation, enjoyable activities and a personalized approach to learning.
I have a degree in Communications majoring in Public Relations at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. I also have a six year background in early childhood education. While completing my degree, I was an English tutor for international university students. I worked with them on improving their written and spoken English, as well as their understanding of English in different contexts and situations. I also offered editing and proof-reading services for all of my students.
I offer my students engaging language lessons, assistance with exam preparation, conversation practice, professional development guidance and strategies, situational English practice, subject based assistance (English, history, geography, sociology), cultural education, creative writing assistance and much more.
