I have a Master of Arts in English and Writing. I have TESOL certification. I was invited to join Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honors Society at my university. In addition, I scored 179/200 on the Praxis ESOL Examination (20 points above average). I have been teaching English and ESOL since 2009. I have taught for over two years at the University of South Alabama English Language Center. I have also taught at ITT Technical Institute. I have worked for more than one year teaching in Japan at a private kindergarten, juku (cram school), and eikaiwa (conversation school). I have considerable experience with students of all skill levels, from true beginners to fluent. I am available on italki for private tutoring, language lessons, conversation practice, or focused studies. I am apt for teaching conversational, academic, and business English.

    I worked as a paid conversation partner for the English Language Center, College of Continuing Education and Special Programs, University of South Alabama. This consisted of, one on one, 2 to 3 times a week meetings for three hours with students from Korea and Japan.

One day a week, I taught adults at a conversation school. There I developed both lesson plans and curriculum, as well as taught all the classes.
