About ApoorvaI am a legal journalist in India. Even though I do not have any professional experience in teaching, I have a knack for languages and I have always helped my friends out when they were trying to learn a language I was fluent in. I will be able to offer lessons up to thrice a week, but only on weekends. Instead of following a set syllabus, the lesson plans will be prepared on the basis of the special requirements of the student so that the student can attain maximum benefit from this process. I'll be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
Here are a few things I would like you to keep in mind before you schedule a session:
1. I am a community tutor and not an expert on grammar. So I may not be able to answer a lot of questions on why certain things are the way they are. But after the session, I will happily go look things up and let you know.
2. If you are an advanced or intermediate learner, then please schedule a trial session instead of a full 60 minute session because I need at least 30 minutes to figure out what your present level is and what kind of learning techniques you would be most responsive to.
3. Most of my teaching happens outside the sessions since I expect students to work regularly. I am happy to give you things to do and really appreciate if you send me your home-work regularly so I can return it to you with corrections and comments, if any.
4. If you do decide to schedule further sessions, please try to do it 3-5 days in advance so I can prepare appropriate materials, send them to you and give you enough time to work on exercises etc.
