I did all my schooling and trained as a language teacher in Spain, but twenty years ago moved to London, where I have worked in different fields, mostly in administration, finance, before returning to the teaching profession. Since my return to education ten years ago, I have taught French and Spanish up to advanced level in several secondary schools across London, both in the private and state sectors. I have prepared students for public examinations, such as GCSE and A level, and am a examiner of French GCSE with one of the examination boards here in the UK. Additionally, I have tutored privately many students of all ages and levels.

I always plan my lessons according to the age, needs and interests of my students, make them as enjoyable and purposeful as possible by using a variety of resources and activities, e.g. games, role plays, laying emphasis on learning for communication purposes. That means that you will starting speaking from day one!

My aim is to help students develop their ability to use the language effectively in everyday situations whilst providing them with a solid foundation in the grammar so that they can produce their own language independently. For me one of the most gratifying aspects of teaching is sharing my knowledge with students and seeing them make progress lesson by lesson.
