About Phil

Thank you so much for reading my profile. I know your time is valuable, and the truth is teachers can write whatever they want here, so I’ll skip the sales pitch and just suggest you might be better off viewing objective information — simply click on “feedback.”

Students will always say nice things, so I’d recommend focusing on the statistics:

1. Number of lessons taught — shows how serious the teacher is about serving the italki community.

2. “Disputed” sessions as percentage of total — should be low.

3. Lessons taught divided by number of students — returning students are a good sign! A relatively high number of trial lessons is not good.

4. Stars — 5.0 and 4.9 are good, 4.8 is average, 4.7 or lower is not so good.

5. Activity on user profile — This is your opportunity to see how the teacher helps students with real language questions. Does the teacher take an interest in the italki community by answering language questions? How frequently? How helpful are the answers?

All levels are welcome.

All my courses are 100% custom-designed for you — based on your individual circumstances — so you’ll get the results you desire.

You decide how often we meet — several times a day, once a week, or a single session may be all we need to get you on track. My students say I have an uncanny ability to identify what you need now — to take your language skills to the next level fast.

Please write me a brief message before you request your first lesson with me.
