About Alifa

Halo semuanya! Nama saya Alifa. I'm majoring English (TEFL) at one of the best state universities in Indonesia, so I will be an English teacher soon after I graduate. I do speak Indonesian, Sundanese and English. I'm also trying to learn Dutch lately. I've been tutoring Indonesian since 2011 and basic English since 2012. I'm quite patient to teach my students. I can teach grammar as well if you want. Write what kind of lesson you need when you book your first session with me. Please don't say, "I'm really a beginner" when you already know how to say something in Indonesian. Tell me what you know and what you want to study. It will help me to design the lesson for you. I work as a teacher in my university language centre. All of my students are studying Indonesian at various levels, from novice to intermediate. No one is at advanced level even though some of them already sound like Indonesians. Even those who have studied Indonesian in universities are still at intermediate level. Surprised? So based on the experience that I have, to be honest, sometimes I'm curious how teachers on italki (specifically) define their students' current Indonesian level. But anyway, looking forward to meeting you soon in class! Alifa
