I have decided it is no longer worth my while financially teaching on italki. My experience shows that when I charge more than 100 itc an hour, students do not want to have lessons through me. However after italki fees, exchange rates and Paypal fees, 100 itc an hour means I am left earning about £3.50 an hour. £3.50 in England is not even enough to cover a bus fare to the local town. English tutoring in England costs about £20-25 an hour normally. I would be happy to work for £10 or even minimum wage of £6.75 per hour, but people do not want to pay that on this site as a rule. I will honor any classes already booked, but will not be accepting new requests. Thank you to everyone who has taken classes with me and I wish you all luck on your journeys learning English!
