Hello My name is Irina. I am passionate about teaching online and all the technologies that help us a lot in learning a foreign language. I think it’s a great idea to have students from different parts of the world in your class.
Of course, before having a lesson with me you want to know some background information about me. However, I would say it really doesn’t matter. All you need to do is to come to a first lesson and … this is the moment of truth – if you learn a lot of new things and feel comfortable and you are not bored and you want to come for another class … this is the formula of a good teacher.
As for my teaching background :
In 2006 I graduated from Donetsk State University and my speciality is “English Language and Literature”. Since that time I have taught a lot of different people both children and adults. I wanted to work with motivated students that’s why mostly I worked at an English Language Centres not at Public Secondary Schools. My students have achieved good results but not all of them as 70 % of the progress depend on students not on a teacher.
I am a lifelong learner and since my graduation I try to visit and participate in different teaching training sessions and master my knowledge of English language. As result I passed Teaching Knowledge Test in Module 2 – Lesson planning and use of resources for language teaching and Module 3 – Managing the teaching and learning process.I visited Primary Teacher Training, organized by Bill Bowler, ELT author and teacher trainer.I passed University of Cambridge ESOL Examination and obtained Certificate in Advanced English.
I especially like when a student has a goal and with all my pleasure I will do my best to help them to achieve it.
