My name is Desiree, and I'm a passionate and professional young woman with a heart for helping others. If I can speak bluntly but humbly, what makes me a valuable asset to anybody is my faith in Jesus Christ. I work to honor Him because I love Him. Because of my faith, everyone can expect the highest quality of work from me (although I may make mistakes & am not at all perfect). I am honest, hard-working, compassionate, and kind. I truly love working with others, and it is my pleasure to try and help you improve your language skills. Currently, I'm working as a private tutor for American expats as well as Chinese University Masters-level graduates. I have experience with children as well. My experience has taught me this: learning Chinese is difficult, and requires patience & a strong spirit. Learning Chinese is not for the faint of heart or those who give up easily. The measure of effort you put into learning, the measure of ability you will reap. It is important to have an excellent foundation in regards to pronunciation and usage of tones, and this can require a lot of work at the beginning. This is where most students get restless & frustrated, because they want to move on to other things like vocabulary & grammar.
