Teaching is my passion. I have been a reading and phonics tutor for over 8 years. I have also taught English on the college level for 4 years. I love helping my students to succeed!

My love of the English language began when I was a child. I immersed myself in books, from children's classics and adventure stories to the classics of English literature.
While a teenager, I had the opportunity to live in Mexico and Nicaragua where I learned to speak Spanish. My knowledge of a second language enables me to be a better ESL teacher; I have personal experience in the struggles involved with learning another language.
While at college, I majored in Secondary Education (with proficiencies in English and Math); after receiving my bachelor of science degree I also received my Master of Education degree.
Since completing my college education, I have worked as a tutor for over 7 years. My tutoring experience has been primarily teaching reading, phonics, grammar and writing. For 4 years, I taught English at the college level, specializing in teaching writing.
