I'm a retired programmer, experienced British English tutor, and author of "How to Go Up a Band in IELTS Without Needing to Improve Your English."

I have a Master's in IT and a level 5 certificate in teaching English to speakers of foreign languages. The British Council and the famous IELTS teacher "IELTS Simon" taught me to teach IELTS. I was president of Cheltenham Speakers, a public speaking club.

Thanks to Kate‘s interesting and practical lessons, I got a score of 6.0 in speaking. I learned many useful expressions as well as the answering logic which definitely improved my speaking skills, and the most important thing is that Kate makes me feel confident and not nervous when talking to the IELTS examiner. With more practice with Kate, I believe I can get a higher score in IELTS test.
