As a professional writer, I'm skilled in contemporary English use. In addition to having written over a dozen books, I edit an online magazine, and am precise about fixing language mistakes. I live and breathe English and enjoy sharing my knowledge and skills with others.

In our lessons we'll focus on practical English, contemporary usage, idioms, conversation, pronunciation, how your language differs from English, and avoiding language errors. Our lessons will adapt to your needs and interests.

I received my BA from Wesleyan University, and MA from Columbia University.

The son of a writer, I grew up in New York City. I now live in Washington, DC. I'm married and have two daughters, one of whom has already written her first novel. In my spare time, I'm a pilot. I'm learning to speak Japanese.
