I am a German-American native speaker working in the computer industry and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. I have been translating professionally and teaching in these languages as a semi-professional for many years. I am a nationally certified German Automotive Mechanic and have worked in technical translation, documentation and management in Germany and Switzerland.
I am a well-versed individual and am able to communicate/ educate at any level and have diverse subjects of interest. Growing up in Germany and the U.S. has given me the opportunity to know both cultures in-depth and teaching others on both sides of the spectrum on a regular basis.
Learning languages, music and teaching others to see them succeed is a great passion of mine. I am a very patient but motivating teacher and make it a priority to create a comfortable learning environment for my students. Living in and travelling through different countries has given me an open mind, respect for and interest in other cultures which I would like to share with my students.
My teaching approach is customized to my student’s necessities, as some would rather learn grammar and pronunciation, yet others would prefer to learn idioms or small-talk. Everyone has a specific reason for learning a language, as some need it to progress in their career and yet others just would like to communicate globally in other languages for fun. I respect everyone’s reason and respond by providing them with the tools they need to succeed.
