I took a training class of teaching Japanese in a company for Japanese education, and I've taught Japanese to foreigners as a web instructor there since 2012. And 2011 through Jan. 2013, I had taught foreigners Japanese as a volunteer in classe that is held by the city where I live.
In the first lesson or a trial one, I'll ask you what you would like to learn, and about something which you would like to use or some topics that you're interested in.. etc. Please feel free to talk to me about that.

In my class, basically I use a text book "みんなの日本語(minna no nihongo)" or Genki Book.
