I have been studying foreign languages since the age of 14; I took five years each of Japanese and Chinese in high school, as well as 1 year of Spanish. All of my studies have been with native speakers. I am learning Portuguese and Italian, and have been pleased with the results so far. After doing a lot of language exchanges with Italian and Brazilian students of English, I decided I wanted to find a way to share my language with as many people as possible!
I'm able and willing to tutor anyone who wants to improve their English. I speak General American English with a neutral accent, essentially the dialect used by broadcasters in the U.S. Through conversation, we can perfect your accent, improve your grammar, and work towards fluency! I love studying, I love talking, and I LOVE teaching! I think learning a language should be fun and rewarding, and I try to approach tutoring with patience and gentleness. Whoever you are, and whatever your level, I look forward to meeting and getting to know you!
Students have the option of focusing with me on any number of things, including conversation, accent training, grammar and usage, and English-language idioms. I can also help you improve your writing skills.
