I'm a native speaker of Russian and a linguist by profession. I have 2 small kids so these last several years I've been working from home teaching people Russian language online. I have a passion for teaching and I'm happy to be a guide to the Russian culture for those who find it interesting.

I use authentic text, audio and video materials that you will receive without extra charge. Usually we work using a webcam and a headset to talk and a virtual online Cyrillic keyboard + a virtual whiteboard to type.

I'm interested in innovative teaching methods and I'm dreaming to find a student who would want to try out speaking practice sessions in Second Life (3D virtual world). But of course you are welcome to have lessons in a more traditional format :)

Besides, I'm working on creating free educational Russian language materials for a website. Part of them will be Russian short stories adapted by Ilia Fank's method. I'd like to find a language exchange partner (an English speaker and an intermediate / advanced learner of Russian) to help me with this work. I think it will be fun to read together, discuss the stories and nuances of word meanings in Russian and English.
