The italki Translation Platform is built and maintained by italki.com. It is a means by which every italki member can contribute to the italki community by doing volunteer translation work.
- How can I join the italki Translation Team?
The Translation Team is only open to italki members. After you are a member of italki, visit the Translation Platform and register your italki account on the Platform. Then you can start translating!
- Why should I vote for the best translation?
There might be different translations for the same item submitted by different members. Voting for the best translation helps italki decide which version is the best to be shown on the italki website. So please vote for the best version to ensure the most accurate translation shows up on italki.
- When will I see my translation on italki?
After all the items for a specific language are translated by the community, italki will then update our site with that new language as quickly as possible. You can also check the new version after it is launched, and report any inaccuracies you find.
- What does my score represent?
The score indicates the average number of votes (both positive and negative) your translations have received from other translators.
- How can I raise my rank on the italki Translators list
The rank is determined by your total number of translations. The more items you translate, the higher your rank will be.
- Will I get paid for participating in the Translation Team?
This is a volunteer program to help develop italki. On behalf of the italki community, we'd like to say Thank You. italki may offer some small tokens of appreciation to active and excellent translators in the future.
