I am a pianist from India who has an affinity for languages: particularly the romance languages. My interest in Spanish comes from loving Spain and South America: the art, the culture, the music and especially the dance (Salsa and Argentine Tango). English is my native language and while my accent may be partly Indian, I understand the workings of the language particularly well as a result of my interest in linguistics and my exposure to French, Italian and German through art song. As a musician, I hear sounds carefully and am good at explaining ideas of pronunciation and diction.
